Why so many foreclosures

According to forclosures.com, Sacramento County has 31,028 homes in Preforeclosure, 14,334 in auction, and 8,927 already bank owned. This is some of the worst foreclosure rates in the country. I think the Sacramento housing market was oversold. Hopefully we can recover from 10’s of thousands of homes being foreclosed.
