Walmart awards $15,000 to Sacramento nonprofit organization

Up & At It! just recived $15,000 from The Walmart Foundation. Up & At It! is a nonprofit designed to help people re-enter the workforce. 11 US organizations recieved the grant. The grant was part of Wal Mart’s “12 Days of Giving” campaign. During the campaign Wal Mart is giving away $1.5 million.

“Job training empowers people to realize their dreams and improve their lives,” said Sylvia Mathews Burwell, president of the Walmart Foundation. “By helping people develop practical skills for success, today’s organizations are having a lasting impact on individuals, families and communities.”
