Sacramento’s new United Football League team is looking for player. Tryouts will be next Saturday at Natomas High School in Sacramento. The Sacramento Mountain Lions are looking for free agents. The event will be between 7:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. at the high school at 3301 Fong Ranch Road. Potential players can pre-register online at ufl-football.com. The tryouts are open for all positions.
“The determination of athletes to make our football team was infectious and I was delighted with the ability and attitude of those who tried out,” Mountain Lions head coach Dennis Green said in a press release. “There are enough quality players out there who were stars in college or high school and have what it takes to play professional football.”
The Sacramento Mountain Lions relocated from the Bay Area and play their first home game at Hornet Stadium at Sac State on September 25th. The opening game will be against the Florida Tuskers. The road game starts Sept. 18 on the East Coast at the Hartford Colonials.
