The greater Sacramento area is scheduled for a big storm this week. Some are even touting this as the biggest October storm in decades. We could see winds between 40 and 45 MPH along with about 2 inches of rain.
Snow will fall in the Sierra starting at about 7,500 feet elevation. When you get up to 8,000 to 9,000 feet we may see winds as high as 100 MPH. Most of the wind will be concentrated to Tuesday afternoon and continue throughout the day.
