The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting motorists that the on-ramp for northbound Zinfandel Drive to eastbound U.S.Highway 50 will be temporarily closed for reconstruction.

This on-ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, July 8 through 5 a.m. Monday, July 11. Detour signs and CMS boards will be used to assist motorists. DeSilva Gates Construction is the prime contractor for this $108 million project to construct 7.5 miles of new bus/carpool lanes from Sunrise Boulevard to Watt Avenue. Completion of this project is expected by 2013.

There will be a few traffic delays around the Sacramento area tonight for the fireworks. Here is a list:

State Route 51 (aka the Capitol City Freeway in Sacramento County) at Exposition Boulevard and Arden Way: Motorists can expect north and southbound off-ramp closures from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday Fourth of July fireworks show for the California State Fair. Traffic control signs and CMS boards will be in place to assist motorists.

State Route 160 (aka the Capitol City Freeway in Sacramento County) at Arden Way: Motorists can expect eastbound off-ramp closures from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday. Fourth of July fireworks show for the California State Fair. Traffic control signs and CMS boards will be in place to assist motorists.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting motorists that beginning on Sunday, June 12 work will start on a $58.6 million project to repave, resurface and restripe Interstate 5 from the San Joaquin County line to the Florin Road overcrossing.

Motorists can expect north and southbound traffic delays of up to 15 minutes due to lane restrictions and traffic control from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday-Saturday. Completion of the project is scheduled by fall 2012.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting motorists that traffic on eastbound I-80 will be subject to late night detours from Thursday night through Friday morning, while a contractor erects falsework for a new bike/pedestrian overcrossing in Natomas. Motorists should expect delays for westbound traffic on I-80 as well due to lane restrictions.

On Thursday, May 19 through Friday, May 20 from 12 midnight to 4 a.m., traffic on eastbound I-80 will be detoured onto eastbound West El Camino Avenue. From West El Camino Avenue they will be directed onto northbound Truxel Road where they will be re-directed to eastbound I-80.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting motorists that traffic on eastbound I-80 will be subject to late night detours Monday and Tuesday, May 17 & 18 while a contractor erects falsework for a new bike/pedestrian overcrossing in Natomas.

Beginning at 11 p.m. each night , drivers on westbound I-80 will be detoured south on Truxel Road then west on West El Camino Avenue where they can re-board I-80. Motorists should expect delays. All lanes are scheduled to re-open at 4 a.m. each morning.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting motorists that west and eastbound U.S. Highway 50 will be closed between Watt Avenue and Bradshaw Road Saturday night through Sunday morning for the demolition of the Manlove Bike/Pedestrian Overcrossing over U. S. Highway 50, weather permitting.

On Saturday, April 30 through Sunday, May 1, 2011 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., traffic on eastbound U.S. Highway 50 will be detoured to South Watt Avenue, then onto eastbound Folsom boulevard, where they will be redirected to southbound Bradshaw Road to eastbound U.S. Highway 50. Traffic on westbound U.S. Highway 50 will be detoured to northbound Bradshaw Road, then onto westbound Folsom Boulevard, where they will be redirected to northbound Watt Avenue to westbound U.S. Highway 50. A signed detour route will be available.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting motorists of various southbound lane and ramp closures beginning tonight, January 19 at 6 p.m. through noon tomorrow, January 20 between 12th Avenue and
Fruitridge Road. The on-ramp from 12th Avenue/Franklin Road to southbound 99 will be closed and traffic will be directed to use Fruitridge Road to access southbound 99. Motorists can anticipate delays of up to 20 minutes.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, if possible, to minimize delays. The
work is necessary to allow a contractor to perform necessary roadway repairs.

State Route 160 (Sacramento County) from Northgate Boulevard to Canterbury Road: Motorists can expect westbound lane and ramp closures From 10:00 am to 11:30 a.m. Monday due to a parade.

Interstate 5/County Road 102 Interchange Project (Yolo County) Work has begun on an $8.5 million project by the City of Woodland, the Sacramento Area Council of Government and Caltrans to construct and modify ramps on Interstate 5 and widen County Road 102. Completion is expected in the fall of 2011.
