Sacramento police chief Rick Braziel who is well liked and is considered an excellent police chief may be leaving Sacramento. Braziel is one of three finalists still under consideration to become the new chief of police for the city of Seattle.

Previously we reported that Braziel was down to the last 11 candidates. Braziel said he was informed late Tuesday that he was one of three candidates left. The former police chief of Seattle was Gil Kerlikowske. Kerlikowske left the department to become drug czar under President Barack Obama.

Sacramento police officers took a group of kids shopping on Sunday.  Dozens of kids went to Target in Natomas for their Christmas shopping.  It was part of the “Sacramento Family Holiday” event.  There were a total of 15 families that attended.  Each family received about $200 each to purchase toys, clothes, and other items from the store.  Then they all headed to Sofia’s Italian Restaurant in Sacramento.
