The Sacramento River Cats now have an iPhone application. The app is free and allows you to get game schedules, buy tickets (which go on sale Feb 7th), and read news from the team.

The River Cats are the first minor league baseball team to have their own app. The application was developed in partnership with Critical Technologies Group LLC. An app for Google’s Android operating system is scheduled for sometime next year.

Sacramento continued its torrid play at Raley Field with an 8-3 victory over Tacoma in a Pacific Coast League game Sunday.  Sacramento has won nine of its past 10 home games.  Sacramento’s Matt Carson had three hits and scored three runs. Michael Taylor drove in three runs.
