Raley’s notified it’s customer that some of them were doubled billed on Sunday November 6th. Here is the content of that message:
On Sunday, November 6th, our Raley’s, Bel Air, Nob Hill, and Food Source stores experienced a technical problem with transactions using debit cards, credit cards, gift cards and EBT cards that may have resulted in duplicate charges to some of our customers. If you made a purchase in our stores on November 6th, your account may have been charged more than once for the same amount.

Even well run businesses such as Raley’s and Bel Air are feeling the economy. Raley’s announced it will be laying off 150 people. Raley’s chief executive officer Michael Teel says the layoffs are due to the economy. The layoffs include everything from entry-level to vice president positions. Five high-ranking executives, including chief operating officer Dave Clark, are among those being laid off.
