The Sacramento County, California Sheriff has made what is being called the biggest U.S. methamphetamine seizure in U.S. history. According to investigators arrests in Sacramento lead them to a huge bust in Gilroy, California, about 150 miles south of Sacramento.
Agents seized about 600 pounds of pure crystal meth-amphetamine. The drug would have pulled in an estimated $200 million on the street. Officers also found about 15 pound of cocaine. The bust was the result of a year long investigation.
The drug lab was run by a Mexican drug cartel. The bust resulted in at least half a dozen Mexican Nationals were arrested in connection with the case.
