Southwest flight 812 did not make it to Sacramento as planned. The flight was diverted Yuma Arizona. Upon safely landing in Yuma, the flight crew discovered a hole in the top of the aircraft.

There were 118 passengers on the flight and only minor injuries were reported. Most of the injuries were from passing out due to lack of oxygen when the plane was de-pressurized. According to our sources the pilots had 20 seconds of oxygen and were able to get their masks on in that amount of time. They then started a rapid, controlled descent to about 11,000 feet. At the elevation there was oxygen and the crew as well as passengers could breath without their masks.

A JetBlue Airways plane blew a tire while landing at Sacramento, California, International Airport Thursday, the Federal Aviation Administration said. Four people were transported to hospitals with minor injuries, JetBlue said in a statement to CNN. Flight 262, an Airbus A320, reported an issue with the brakes, said Alison Croyle, a spokeswoman for JetBlue. The airport fire department responded immediately, she said, and EMS personnel were on site to assist.

The plane was still on the runway, where mechanics will do necessary repairs, said Sacramento Airport spokeswoman Cheryl Marcell. It is closing one of the airport’s two runways, but the airport remains operational, she said. Two pilots, three crew members and 86 passengers were on board, according to JetBlue.

The tire began smoking or caught fire, and the crew deployed emergency slides, the FAA said. Passengers evacuated the plane, officials said. FAA investigators are on the way to the airport.
