A two-car crash in Rancho Cordova killed one man and injured two others when two pickup trucks collided head-on. The fatal accident occurred on Wednesday night, June 23, 2010 at 7:46 p.m., on Sunrise Boulevard, just south of Kiefer Boulevard.
The Sacramento County Sherriff’s Office reported a white full-size Ford pickup truck was traveling southbound on Sunrise Boulevard, when it veered over the center median. The white truck then collided head-on with a red full-size Ford pickup truck, which was headed northbound on Sunrise Boulevard.

Sunday morning a man died while riding his bike on Howe Ave over highway 50. The man was hit by an SUV. Alcohol did not appear to play a role in the accident according to authorities.
The accident occurred around 3:40 a.m. Sunday on Howe Avenue at the Highway 50 overpass. Sacramento police spokesman Konrad von said an officer in the area arrived shortly after the crash to find the victim, identified as Todd Mendon, 23, of Sacramento, lying in the traffic lane.
The SUV driver told officers she was driving on Howe and didn’t see Mendon. She only pulled over after she thought she ran over something in the roadway. Two officers performed CPR on Mendon, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Early this morning a man was killed in a car accident on Highway 99 in south Sacramento. five others were injured in a car accident. The accident occurred just before 1 a.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol a car travelling northbound on Highway 99 north of Mack Road lost control and hit the center divider. Another vehicle travelling behind hit that car, ejecting the driver upon impact. A family of five was in the second car that hit the vehicle in the center divide and were all taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
