Two people in a Pocket-area home were not hurt when a sports utility vehicle plowed into their living room just after noon Monday. The woman and her 2-year-old granddaughter had just left the front of the house and were in another part of the residence when the crash occurred, according to authorities.
The mother of the toddler said if her child and the grandmother had still been in the living room, they would have been hit.
The driver of the SUV, a man in his 40s, was taken to an area hospital for what appeared to be a head injury, according to Sacramento police spokesman Officer Konrad von Schoech.
It was not immediately clear why the vehicle went into the house.
