Sacramento Zone Ball

Have you ever been to the Sacramento Zone Ball? I have not and I am wonder why would anyone want to go? I have looked at the pictures through the years and frankly I think the entire event makes our city look pretty foolish. It reminds me of the Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco. It seems to me, someone who admittedly has never attended, to be a fest of freaks. Am I wrong? Are there “normal” people that attend this event?
I would like to see Sacramento continue to prosper and gain popularity on a national level and events like the Zone Ball make us look like a freak of a city.
P.S. I enjoy FM 100.5, so sorry to dis on your little event.
