Sacramento city officials spent $680,000 on a failed attempt to build a new arena downtown. $8K was sent on travel since many of the discussions took place in cities like New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, and Orlando. Mayor Johnson however paid for his own travel costs.
The largest amount was $252K spent on Barrett Sports Group. They were the consulting group that lead the negotiations, which failed when the Maloofs backed out of the deal.
