“Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to have passionate and committed board members, and this year is no exception,” said Marc Feldman, CEO and Executive Director of the Sacramento Philharmonic. “We look forward to working with this diverse and talented group of professionals as we continue to grow our organization, strengthen our ties to the community, and provide a rich and meaningful musical experience for the region.”
“I grew up going to classical concerts with my parents in Sacramento,” said newly elected Board President Jennifer Basye-Sander. “Some of what I was exposed to seems to have seeped in and has been a big part of my life ever since. For the past few years I’ve gotten involved in making new music happen — by commissioning works from major composers like Andre Previn and the Brubecks — and have had the chance to get more involved in the Sacramento Philharmonic. I’m excited to take the role of Board President in these challenging times and look forward to what the coming year holds for the orchestra. Great music, audiences and community effort, what could be better?”
