The Sacramento Kings looks like they want to build up their frontcourt based on their draft choices. The Kings grabbed 7-foot center Hassan Whiteside with the No. 33 pick in the NBA draft. Whiteside averaged 13.1 points, 8.9 rebounds and 5.4 blocked shots in 34 games in one season at Marshall and was an honorable mention All-American. His 182 blocks were the fourth-most for one season in Division I history.
The Kings also signed Kentucky forward DeMarcus Cousins with the No. 5 pick. A defensive boost inside is also coming to the Kings from a trade made last week. The Kings acquired Samuel Dalembert in a trade with Philadelphia.
Hopefully these latest Kings additions will get them out of the basement of the Western Conference.
