New details are emerging about the attack near the Sacramento Children’s home last Sunday night. police were called at about 7:15 p.m. Sunday after an attack occurred behind the Sutterville Road home. When police arrived, the boy fled. A perimeter was set up, the K-9 was deployed, and the suspect was taken into custody
The victim of the assault was a staff member. The attacker was a boy who lived in the home. Authorities arrested the boy a few blocks away from the home. He will not be returning to the Sacramento Children’s home.
In a statement, the home says, “We would like to express our extreme regret that our staff and client were involved in an incident such as this one. The Sacramento Children’s Home maintains the highest level of security for our staff and clients.”
