Sacramento continued its torrid play at Raley Field with an 8-3 victory over Tacoma in a Pacific Coast League game Sunday. Sacramento has won nine of its past 10 home games. Sacramento’s Matt Carson had three hits and scored three runs. Michael Taylor drove in three runs.
River Cats starter John Halama, a former Mariner, allowed three runs and 10 hits in six innings, walking none and striking out four. ”Today was a good win,” said River Cats catcher Josh Donaldson, who was 1-for-4. “Got a good outing, good pitching, and put some runs up on the board. We got a lot of runs in the fourth and fifth innings (three in the fourth and four in the fifth), and that pretty much put the game away.”
