Jun 13th, 2007 | By Matthew | Category: Politics, Sac News, Sacramento Area Events

Did you catch Michael Moore’s visit to the capitol? He was supposedly here because he cares about our health care crises, bull!! We definitely have a health care crises and we need to do something about it, but Michael Moore does not care. Check out the pictures of his Michael Moore’s visit to Sacramento.

Michael Moore is a SiCKO Michael Moore's SiCKO Bus

He was here to promote his movie, SiCKO. Michael Moore care about making money, which I don’t fault him for, but it would be nice if actually told the truth.

  1. Yeah, I don’t care for the guy myself. When he spins his stories, he always tends to leave out important info. In Daniel Weintraub editorial on Thursday the 14th http://www.sacbee.com/weintraub/story/221288.html , Daniel pointed out many good flaws in Moore’s movie. Two are:

Moore begins by insisting that his story will be about people who have insurance, not those who go without. But some of his most vivid examples — such as a man who loses two fingers in an accident and can only afford to pay for one of them to be reattached — are about people who do not have any coverage at all.

Moore never gets around to telling us that the underfunded Canadian and British systems have such long waiting lists that the Canadian Supreme Court struck down a ban on private health care, and the British are buying insurance to supplement their government coverage.

  2. “We definitely have a health care crises and we need to do something about it” And nobody has been effective in doing a thing about it except that insurance companies, Hospitals and Pharma’s keep making record profits while more and more regular Americans fall into the ranks of the uninsured. I would suppose a dry documentary without “vivid examples” would not do much to get the average person to act. All great movements in this land have begun from a zealous advocate instilling urgency in the masses. Michael Moore may not have it “exactly” right but thank God he is willing to put his movie out there for we dupes who have accepted the status quo for far too long. And who says we in America could not do universal health care better than Canada? I happen to think this great country can do anything it sets its mind to. To think less is, well, it’s un-American!

  3. Well, must we pay for the many health problems of the morbidly obese? The smokers asthma COPD and worse? the underinsured wheely king of the block when he crashes?

recent trip to Thunder Valley. Met the especially gross bunch of idiot customers lost in a cloud of smoke and dreams. Money for gambling but not for insurance?

  4. So, who wants to pay the horrendous costs of treating the the morbidly obese, the smokers, the dopers? Not me! Let’em die, their choice!
