Kings’ Tyreke Evans = Rookie of the Year‎

Sacramento Kings guard Tyreke Evans has had a good rookie season. He will apparently receive the Rookie of the Year award, according to sources of the Sacramento Bee.

Evans finished off the season with an average of 20.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game, making him the fourth rookie in league history after Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan, and the Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James to average at least 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Not too of a group to be included into.

You can be sure the other two guys in the hunt for the award, the Golden State Warriors’ Sephen Curry and the Milwaukee Bucks’ Brandon Edwards, are bumming right about now after stellar seasons.

That really is a great crowd to be included with. Man, this kid has some serious potential if he’s able to put up those numbers in his first season. I bet the kings are loving that pick choice.
