It’s a no-burn weekend

Although it may be in the a bit chilly tonight, don’t fire up the fireplace. It’s a no-burn day in Sacramento County — and Sunday. Because of a change in the weather pattern, the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District prohibits all burning. The ban in Sacramento County includes pressed fire logs, wood and pellets. First time violations result in a $50 fine or having to attend a compliance school. Higher fines are levied for repeat offenders.

This is just plain silly.  If I want to have a fire in my fireplace, in the house I own, I will.  This is such a nanny state.  If anyone wants some warmth, my house will be toasty.
