Intermittent Overnight Lane Closures in Sacramento this week

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), the Solano Transportation Authority (STA), and the Napa County Transportation and Planning Agency (NCTPA) are making steady progress in preparation of widening Highway 12 through Jameson Canyon in Napa and Solano Counties.

As the prep-work shifts to mainly storm drain work, and on-going alignment of safety barriers, it will be necessary to continue intermittent lane closures and one-way traffic controls into the week of May 14th.

To ensure worker and public safety, five nights of overnight intermittent lane closures are scheduled to start beginning on Monday, May 14th at 10 p.m. and be completed Saturday, May19th at 6 a.m. All work is weather permitting.

Lane Closure Times and Locations, During intermittent lane closures, one lane of traffic on Highway
12-Jameson Canyon Road will remain open while the other lane of traffic will be closed between Highway 29 and the Napa/Solano County Line.

The lane closures will start on Monday, May 14th at 10 p.m. and conclude on Saturday, May 19th at 6 a.m. From Monday, May 14th until Thursday, May 17th, the closures are scheduled to start at 10 p.m. each night and conclude each morning at 5 a.m. On Friday May 18th the lanes closures will start at 11p.m. and conclude the morning of Saturday, May 19th at 6 a.m.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will help crews direct motorists during the closures. Caltrans will also install changeable message signs.

Motorists should allow for extra travel time through the construction zone.
