Why won’t our county supervisors work on the issues in the county?  At 3 p.m. today, county’s supervisors are set to discuss renaming Goethe Park, which was named after Charles Goethe in 1965.  Why?  The park has had the same name for over 40 years.  Is someone now offended because apparently Goethe a racist?

Funny how they want to change the park’s name now, but had no problem taking Charles Goethe’s money 4 decades ago.  It is hypocritical of Sac State or the City of Sacramento to have taken donations from him and then excoriate him later. I think that if they want to take his name off building or parks honoring him, they must return all gifts to his estate.

Then I see Roger Dickenson’s suggestion that the park should be renamed for Ila Collins and confirmed that he is a complete idiot.   I sure hope people in the district actually check out what he says when it comes to the next election.
