A drunk 19-year-old Sacramento college freshman wandered into a random home in Sacramento weekend. He woke up the resident and started to talk with them.
Apparently the man entered the home through a back door at 3am and woke up Mary Sanchez by tapping on her shoulder. “He said, ‘Can I come lay in bed with you?’ and I said no,” Sanchez told Fox40. The man only identified as Alex began talking on his phone.
Will Snyder was also in the home and confronted the intruder. “He then started mouthing off to me, and I’m like, ‘What is this guy doing mouthing off to me in my own home at 3 a.m.?’” Snyder said.
He and his grandmother at first thought the student was a friend of another person who lived in the home, but then they figured out he wasn’t.
“I grabbed my hatchet and somehow got the blade around his throat. He calmed down at that point,” Snyder said. The teen freed his hands from a zip tie they put on him and jumped out a window through the screen, but Snyder caught up with him down the street and held him until police arrived.
When questioned by authorities the man said he didn’t recall what had happened and promised to repay the family for any damages. No charges were expected to be filed.

That’s pretty crazy – sounds like quite an incident. Glad no one was hurt in the process. That would definitely be a rude awakening!
