Downtown Sacramento Partnership Launches Haunted Tour

From the discovery of an ancient Indian burial ground under the new City Hall, to Victoria era ghosts and Gold Rush ghouls, there are plenty of spooky stories surrounding the macabre side of Sacramento’s past. The Downtown Sacramento Partnership (DSP) is dying to help you get ready for Halloween in Sacramento with our new Downtown Haunted Tour at dusk. You’ll be lead through the dead center of Downtown by DSP History Tour Guide and paranormal enthusiast Shawn Peter.

Tour starts at Cesar Chavez Plaza, 9th & J streets, Downtown Sacramento Saturday October 13th at 5pm. DSP History Tour Guide Shawn Peter will tell the tales of the whispers, sightings, noises and apparitions in downtown Sacramento attributed to legendary murders, vigilante justice, heroic rescue attempts, and tragic accidents.

The tour begins at Cesar Chavez Plaza and stops by several hot spots of paranormal activity throughout the heart of downtown. The tour wraps up right in front of Sacramento’s most haunted landmarks, The Crest Theatre.

After the tour, participants can enjoy a cold brew at in a much more lively location for spirits… KBAR, Dive Bar, Pizza Rock and Pyramid are all nearby so you can grab a beer to ease your fears. After all, the stuff that Sacramento’s legends are made of just might be the same things that you hear go bump in the night.

Tickets must be purchased in advance and are just $10. After a walk through downtown, this 60-90 minute tour ends just outside The Crest Theatre at 10th and K Streets. Click here to purchase your tickets and get more information. For questions about the Downtown Haunted Tour call 916-442-8575.
