Detectives Seek Public’s Help to Identify Woman

Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying the woman pictured in the video surveillance images, attached. Detectives would like to speak with her pursuant to an incident that occurred earlier today, in which a shooting claimed the life of a man at a north Sacramento area apartment complex.

Earlier this morning, at about 12:15 a.m., Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Groves Apartments in the 5700 block of Manzanita Avenue, in response to calls of a man that had been shot. Upon arrival, deputies found a male adult inside an apartment. He had sustained a single gunshot wound to the upper body. He was transported to a nearby hospital, and pronounced dead a short time later.

Detectives believe that the woman pictured in the attached photos may have been in the company of the victim in the hours preceding his death. The woman is not considered a suspect, but detectives would like to speak with her regarding the events of that evening. The woman is described as being 5’ to 5’3” tall, about 120 pounds, with blonde hair that has brown streaks in it.

Anyone knowing the identity of this woman is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at (916) 874-5115, Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP, or send a text message tip to 274627 (CRIMES) then enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.

Sheriff’s Spokesman
