Dave and Lois last newscast tonight.
As we reported earlier Lois Hart and Dave Walker are retiring. Veteran broadcasters Lois Hart and Dave Walker will anchor their last official newscast at 6:30 p.m. this evening on KCRA 3. Viewers will get another dose of the beloved newscasters at 11 p.m. when the station runs a tribute during its later news report.
Hart and Walker have been married since 1979 and have worked together at the station where they met since 1990. They also worked at CNN together. They were in the station newsroom Tuesday cleaning out their desks and looking at clippings with old hairstyles, but they weren’t coasting.The couple showed their professionalism by continuing to work news stories in their final days, said Edie Lambert. Lambert, along with Gulstan Dart, will step in to succeed the Hart-Walker anchor team. The couple’s finale closes out the November sweeps rating month. A special behind-the-scenes look at their retirement will air on the 11 p.m. report, which will be anchored by Lambert and Dart.
