The popular morning radio show Armstrong and Getty was pulled from the air today. KSTE in Sacramento played a pre-recorded “best of” show. KSTE has not commented as to why they pulled the show off the air at the last minute, but many listeners suspect it’s because of Jack Armstrong’s comments on yesterday’s show.
Jack said that Americans should post pictures and videos of the prophet Muhammad. He was making the point that Muslims need to get over it and realize it’s just a picture and murdering people over a photo or video is insane.
One listener said “Guys he’s not breaking the law! He’s being tacky, insulting, and perhaps in poor taste but it’s not illegal. What part of “free speech protects things I don’t like” do some of you not understand?”

This is a travesty on free speech. I LOVE A&G. They make my morning and I am an old lady teacher who is easily offended and these two lads do not offend me, a Christian. Too bad Muslims. Don’t listen.
If you are going to post in Arabic, why didn’t you speak Arabic when you gave the interview to Fox 40 on Monday Mr. Morrar?

By the way this isn’t about free speech. The radio station does have the right to be stupid and kowtow to the radical Muslims. The video was not the reason they killed 4 Americans. We know these were planned attacks. The rage in the streets on Friday was supposedly over the videos… they are like little children who didn’t get their way. Punish that behavior or they’ll never learn.

Political correctness and Giving into the outrage(which has no basis) will doom this country. Jack didn’t say post anything negative or obscene. If they had said post things about Jesus they wouldn’t have gotten a complaint and would still be on the air. Clear Channel is giving in to the few who have cried wolf. This is utterly disgusting and God Help America.

Free speech is not for everyone. We see this over and over again. I can’t wait to see if Obama is going to go on TV to condemn and pay for TV ads to condemn the “PISS CHRIST” so called “art”, WHICH WAS FUNDED BY THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT OF THE ARTS, that is going on display in New York City tomorrow at the Edward Tyler Nahem Galery. Conservatives, Pastors, some congress members and citizens of America have called on Obama to condemn this display and he refuses to do so. PISS CHRIST is a painting of Jesus on the cross submerged in urine.
For those of you who have followed Jack and Joe from the beginning know that they were brought in to KSTE because the guy before them, can’t remember his name, made a comment about Mexicans. It was meant to be humorous not hateful but he was gone forever.
If what Jack said yesterday about the Muhammed pics and videos causes them to lose their jobs I for one will never tune my radio to KSTE again.

Well, I’ll be looking forward to President Obama approaching a microphone any minute now and expressing his regrets that the decision-makers at the radio station acted stupidly… and then, calling for a beer summit for all parties. (Oh, yeah, Muslims don’t drink alcohol.)

This is so stupid. Why don’t we stop sending money to the middle east and let them hate us for free. I agree that if a comment was made about a Christian belief no one would be up in arms. Why is it ok to make fun of my Prophet, but we have to edit our comments about someone elses when all they want to do is make us just like them.
