$25,000 per plate fundraiser for Whitman

Union members protested a Meg Whitman fundraiser last night in downtown Sacramento. The California Labor Federation is upset with Meg Whitman for having a $25,000 per plate fundraiser. 50 people protested outside the Elks Building. Meanwhile, another 25 people turned out for the fundraising dinner.

The unions are accustomed to buying politicians and are having a tough time with Meg Whitman because she is not for sale. Jerry Brown who is running against Whitman has been supported by the big unions for a long time.

“Those public employee union members protesting Meg Whitman’s event oppose her because they have fought and paid for Jerry Brown already,” said a Whitman spokesman. “They know when Meg Whitman gets to Sacramento, she won’t owe anyone and will do what’s truly best for California.”

That 25,000.00 low calorie per person plate, could benefit more important things than Ms.greedy Meg Whitman. That’s how she became wealthy while she feed you a lotta crock, you feed her pockets, and you have the nerve to go after the already dirt poor people.HA!!!! you’ll never get my vote.

  3. $25,000 a pop, damn ! Makes you wonder why would anyone pay that kind of money, it is clearly not because they are doing something good or being charitable. It probably has more to do with the fact that they expect something back. A lot of those greedy labor union members barely make $25,000 a year. The people that most have showed were probably former lawyers turned lobbyiests, probably oil companies, and all the usual suspects we love to hate.
